Every piece is a representation of different subject matter that has evoked an emotional response in the artist. DESCRIPTION:Kat’s Backyard Film Fest is one installment of Backyard Shenanigans\, an annual summer series of interactive art experiences hosted in a backyard setting that cultivates community & creative connections. This is Backyard Shenanigans’ first film festival and the event will open with an open mic. Submissions are due May 15th.  \n\nThe festival starts June 14. \nAll genres/forms accepted. Seeking narratives\, documentaries\, music videos\, animation\, and experimental works. Applicants should be 18 and over. \nFilm entries should not exceed 45 minutes. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDue to the 50th year anniversary of Buffalo’s Juneteenth Festival Celebration\, priority will be given to Black Buffalo-based filmmakers. SUMMARY:Buffalo Art: Post Event Celebration for Live on Five
DESCRIPTION:Buffalo Arts Studio invites you to the Post Event Celebration for Live on Five on Friday\, April 24\, from 5–8 pm\, part of M&T Fourth Fridays. This event is free and open to the public. \nThe party’s not over yet! Guests are invited to pick up their winnings from the Live on Five auction and enjoy a free performance by a quintet from the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. The BPO will begin their performance at 6:00 pm and play for approximately 30 minutes. The quintet includes Henry Ward on Oboe\, Natalie Scanio on Flute\, Will Amsel on Clarinet\, Natalya Rose Vrbsky on Bassoon and Sophia Filippone on Horn.  \nAdditionally\, guests can meet with Five Points Framing\, who will be offering custom framing on the spot. On display will be In Between Two Tall Mountains by Gab Hall and Breathing In and Out by Brianna Bernas\, concurrent exhibitions by two senior fiber art majors from Buffalo State University that explore concepts of emotional resilience\, adaptability\, and making material the immaterial. Volunteers from Live on Five are encouraged to join us to celebrate all of their hard work to make this event successful\, and will receive one free drink as a token of our appreciation.
