SUMMARY:Buffalo Community: Explore & More Workshop - We the People: A Quilt of Belonging
DESCRIPTION:Join Explore & More Children’s Museum and The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library for a celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. This project\, “We the People: A Quilt of Belonging\,” will celebrate the diversity of America and New York State. \nIn this workshop\, led by Explore & More teaching artists\, children (ages 5-10) will make quilt squares reflecting their family heritage and connection to Erie County. Participants will be invited to contribute their square to a collaborative\, county-wide quilt project. The collection of fabric squares will be assembled into a completed quilt and displayed by the Library. Space and materials are limited to 25 participants–first come\, first served! \nThe workshop will be accompanied by a special story time by one of our librarians! \nIndividuals in need of an accommodation may contact the ADA Coordinator at access@buffalolib.org within 7 days of a program.
