New York State has been at the forefront of public service since our nation’s founding, helping shape the institutions and civic ideals that have guided 250 years of American democracy. In recognition of the United States Semiquincentennial, join the Offices of the New York State Inspector General and the Buffalo History Museum for a free public panel discussion exploring New York’s enduring role in service, integrity, and good government. Moderated by New York State Inspector General Lucy Lang, the conversation will bring together leading voices in government to reflect on how long-standing values guide their work on behalf of New Yorkers. Set against the backdrop of Buffalo’s vital role in that history, the discussion will examine how the ideals that shaped American democracy remain essential to strengthening New Yorker’s civic trust for the next 250 years.
