Buffalo Music: Celebrating Django Reinhardt’s 116th birthday at the Cave

Come on out to celebrate guitarist Django Reinhardt’s 116th Birthday.
Django was born on January 23 1910 in a gypsy caravan in Liberchies, Belgium. He spent most of his time in Paris, France. His main group was the Quintette du Hot Club de France with Stephane Grappelli on violin. One of his most famous compositions is NUAGES, written during World War II.
We are celebrating this great composer and guitarist’s birthday every year on January 23. This year we will again be at the Cave on Military Road and feature headlining SAMI AREFIN & PETITE FLEUR, a jazz manouche trio from Baltimore.
Local supporting groups are a BUFFALO STRING WORKS Faculty String Quartet, 5 BIRDS ON A WIRE and longtime Buffalo gypsy jazz quartet HOT CLUB OF BUFFALO. We hope you can make it to this great concert. It will be a blast!
