Bringing the muses together at Nietzsche’s
Buffalo Music: Hive show on Oct. 30 joins music, comedy, poetry
The arts belong together. That’s one of our core beliefs at The Buffalo Hive; one of our goals is to bring stories about all of the arts and cultures of Western New York together on our site and social media.
But we also love the idea of doing it on a stage, which is why we’re presenting “A Mix and Match of the Muses” at Nietzsche’s on Thursday, Oct. 30. It’s a Halloween-themed event featuring comedians Don Johnson and Clayton Williams, poets Brandon Williamson and Layla Komenda and musicians Spud and Umar Azam all working off themed prompts to create some collaborative and competitive magic in the night.
Then the duo of Kody & Herren will take the stage for a set of their Americana-infused originals and covers, and maybe even some Appalachian murder ballads for the occasion.
Doors open at 6:30 with the show starting at 7. We’re trying something new, and the show is free … but donations are encouraged to help The Buffalo Hive keep doing what we’re doing. It’s a fundraiser, so if you like what we’re doing … show us!
