Episode 56: Benjamin Joe and Max Fisher interview musicians, artists

Caroline is an artist from out of town, but now lives in Buffalo. If you’re going to the same places as we are, you’ve probably seen her free patches against ICE. A good place to see them on prominent display is Fitz Books & Waffles on Main St. by Utica.

Caroline has given away about 3,000 patches and is making more. She’s taking the power back, creating community, and fighting ICE. It’s a big deal in a shaky world for many of our neighbors, and a first step like getting a patch might help start the path towards safety.

The number for BIRD (Buffalo Immigrant & Refugee Defense) is 716 222 2190. If you see ICE in your neighborhood or travels, send a text or call. You should be able to give a location, note how many officers, vehicles and equipment they have at that time. A timely warning could save a life.

Also take a listen to this podcast. Caroline is just one of the many people of Buffalo who cares.
