Buffalo native, Dar Win, came to talk to BMP about the city, his own struggle and his passion for poetry and art.

A poet, Dar Win drew on a sketchpad as he talked about scene ethics, genuine compassion and the will he found within himself to keep going. He described it like waking up in a cave and it was just him and the fire. He made the right choice and kept going, and doesn’t stop feeling grateful for having done that.

A truly righteous talk with a long-time Buffalo character that many may know from visiting Thirsty Buffalo, the Caffe at Amy’s, and Caffe Aroma. We were honored to have him as our guest.
