Buffalo Theater Reviews: ‘The Hung Man’ (the really short version)

Call it the Critic Snippet. Or SSDW (So Short, Do Watch).

Actor and writer Steven Brachmann is doing short videos of current Buffalo productions in which he riffs on the show as kind of a review, kind of an homage, kind of … something.

Here’s his take on “The Hung Man” from Buffalo United Artists, running through Saturday (May 3, 2025) at the Compass Performing Arts Center, .

As Brachmann says, “The jury is unanimous: Buffalo Theater Reviews™ finds Buffalo United Artists’ production of Ian Bonner and Marty Shea’s “The Hung Man” to be “a Sehr gut show, ja!” Buffalo audiences have two more opportunities to fall out of their seat with laughter at this insane Alfred Hitchcock-esque what-did-who that could only have come from the mind of director Drew McCabe and his incredibly talented and amazingly uninhibited cast. “Sehr gut, Sehr gut!!!”
