Amy’s Place, also known as Area 54, has been serving up a consistent diet of hardcore, Oi! bands and punk rock — with immediate roars of approval from big crowds and even bigger bands.

On Friday, once again, the venue has lured another internationally touring act to its stage: Collaps. Haven’t heard of them? Check them here.

Also playing at the show is Graham Regan of Sweet Talker. He shared his thoughts on the bill. Regan, also known as “Skinhead Graham,” said he was excited about the lineup.

“It’s gonna be a sick show. I’m very excited to play another show with Sweet Talker; we’ve got some new s— to show off,” he said. “Collaps is a great Oi band from Germany. I’m stoked to play with Lost Legion and Badterms as well, great skinhead bands.”

Despite stereotypes to the contrary, Regan said that, “no true skinhead can be racist,” but noted, “sometimes it feels good to be scary.”

Regan is also known as the front man of Big Dog, comprising himself and members of Violent Way. Sweet Talker formed less than a year ago and has “Not Your Daddy’s Rock and Roll,” a three-track, already under its belt. Listen to it here.

“Sweet Talker came about from Bret (Biro), Jesse (Muscato) and Goo (Robertson) wanting to make a rock ‘n’ roll band like Motorhead and AC/DC; I wanted to play bass in a band and they needed a bass player, so I joined,” Regan said.

The show starts at 7 p.m. More music from Lost Legion (Chicago) here and Badterms is here.
