Author Talks: Suzanne Cope’s Women of War focuses on Italian resistance
Suzanne Cope is a scholar and narrative journalist, and is the author of “Women of War: The Italian Assassins, Spies, and Couriers Who Fought the Nazis” and “Power Hungry: Women of the Black Panther Party and Freedom Summer and Their Fight to Feed a Movement . The Fredonia native will be in conversation with Maria Scrivani on Sept. 18 at Larkin Square, but first here is her author talk with P.A. Kane.
Author Talks: Moxie Gardiner’s series takes root on the old West Side
As Moxie Gardiner will tell you, she is a writer, dreamer and schemer who likes the smell of warm wood, the sound of insects and islands that cruise ships don’t visit. She also is from the West Side of Buffalo, and has written the first installment of a planned trilogy set there called “Virgin Snow.”
