Kevin Nealon will appear at Helium Thursday through Saturday for five shows. Nealon was a cast member of “Saturday Night Live” from 1986-1995, during which he anchored “Weekend Update,” and created “The Subliminal Man,” and Hans of “Hans and Franz,” characters.

“Premiere: The Improvised Musical,” New York City’s longest continually-running musical show, comes to Buffalo. The cast will turn an audience suggestion into a fully crafted musical. 7 p.m., tickets $20.
“Musical Improv Mixer,” sign-up to try musical improv, maybe for the first time. You will be paired with a fellow improviser and the scene will lead into song, facilitated by the host. 8:30 p.m., tickets $5.60.

“That Comedy Show at Babeville,” a monthly showcase of different comics from Buffalo and surrounding areas.

“The Benjamin Jackson Comedy Hypnotist Show” is a different experience every time. Jackson is an accomplished hypnotist who has turned audience participation into comedy for over three decades.
