The Local Lo-Down: Galactic Waste

The Local Lo-Down is produced by students at SUNY Fredonia’s student-run radio station, Fredonia Radio Systems. Each week, the crew features performers or music industry professionals from the Fredonia music community and from the wider Western New York music scene.

This episode features the group Galactic Waste, who self-identifies their genre as “Buffalo Space Rock.” The group currently has had one self-named album released in 2024 with six different songs. Galactic Waste is also a part of the local music coalition “The Bughouse Collective,” a network of thirteen bands and artists from Western New York with exclusive access to the resources provided by Bughouse Record Company, Deadwood Studios and BLIND Printing Company to create and share their art.

For more information about Galactic Waste, you can follow them on Instagram @galacticwasteband.

We are proud to feature episodes of The Local Lo-Down on The Buffalo Hive.
