Infringement: Last Night Was A Time!

By Miggie Jean

The streets of Allentown exploded with lively music played by Mini Marching Machine as spectators joined in the revelry. Settling in the front of the iconic Nietzsche’s, the marching band continued to play familiar hits surrounded by long time “Infringers”.

The evening continued with original music, setting the stage for other incredible talent to be showcased in the upcoming days.

This 20th anniversary Infringement is celebrating pride tonight with the R&B and Hip-Hop PRIDE event hosted by Aqueira Oshun. It is a full lineup of LGBTQIA+ artists including MYQ Farrow, Mixed Melanin and Jay Aquarious.

It is a Friday night so the evening will be chocked full of musical acts. You may have to mix and match what vibe you want to dive into; that’s my plan.

Milkie’s will be hosting The World Tofu Day Celebration, which will include slam poetry by MC Vendetta, along with live music and burlesque by The Foxy Thrills. The front wall will also be accented with artwork, right next to the pool table.

An Indie Rock lineup is scheduled at Hot Mama’s Canteen, including some sad boy music by Different Planets and musical comedy by Green Schwinn.

If you love country music as much as I do, then you also have the option to visit Nietzsche’s to listen to covers and originals sang by the delightful Bobby Angel. A night of genre blending.
