Friday, Dec. 6, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.: The Buffalo History Museum presents “An Evening with Lauren Belfer,” author of City of Light, a New York Times bestseller, on the 25th anniversary of its publication. The critically-acclaimed novel, based on historical events and figures, unfolds in Buffalo during the 1901 Pan-American Exposition.General admission is $25 ($15 for museum members) for a ticket and includes a pre-show reception with a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres which begins at 6 PM. Friday, Dec. 6, 6:30 p.m.: Reading and book launch event for Buffalo-based writer Paula Wachowiak’s second book of personal essays Phonographic Memories.
