The Buffalo Hive

The Buffalo Hive is a month old now, and if you take a look around you’ll see a lot of things: film openings and reviews, music reviews, art features, theater reviews.

We think it’s a great start toward our goal of providing the best arts and culture journalism and the best events calendar in the region.

There are a few ways that you can help us reach that goal though:

1. Add your events to the calendar! It’s free.

It’s easy and it doesn’t cost you anything. If you’re a venue, an organization, a performer, an artist … just go HERE and add your events. If you have an image to go with it, all the better (preferably 1.5MB or smaller!).

The way it works is you fill in your info, hit submit and then we look at the draft, maybe make a few small edits (we have our own style!) and it gets published on The Buffalo Hive. If you run into any snags, just email us at thebuffalohive@gmail.com. If we run into any questions, we’ll get in contact with you.

Just so you can see how it’s done, there’s a Youtube video at the bottom of the page showing the process.

Also, if anybody would like to volunteer to help keep the calendar uptodate, just email us at thebuffalohive@gmail.com.

2. Subscribe! It’s free.

We’ll be launching our newsletter(s) soon, and you can receive it in your email for free. So even if you forget to check our site daily or weekly (I know you wouldn’t forget to do that, but sometimes crazy things happen), you can still be aware of the cool stuff happening in our community and the journalism that is being committed.

Just email us at thebuffalohive@gmail.com or fill out the form below to add your name to our newsletter list!

  1. The performing arts are an invaluable outlet for people of all ages. At Encore Experience, LLC, we provide such opportunities to children with music lessons and summer musical theatre camps. We believe that if you want professional music and theatre in your community, you need to start somewhere! Come have an EXPERIENCE for which you will say ENCORE!
