Thursday, Aug 21

Buffalo Improv House, 255 Great Arrow Ave., Suite 207, Buffalo.
Improv Mixer, a relaxed environment to try out improv or just to watch. Sign-ups at 6:45 p.m., 7 start. $5 suggested or pay what you can. 

Cagematch, an improv tradition, comes to Buffalo Improv House. Two teams perform for audience laughs and votes to be crowned winner for the night. Then the winning team returns the next week to defend their title against a new team. Last week’s winner, Unicorn Parade, will defend its title against a new challenger. 9 p.m., tickets $5.

Open mic comedy on the second floor. Sign-ups at 7 p.m,  Free.

The Caz, 2221 Seneca St., Buffalo. 8 p.m., tickets $15. 

Comedy at the Caz, local and out of town comics come together for comedy in the heart of South Buffalo. This week’s lineup includes Wyatt Feegrado, a nationally touring comic, Charlie Mac (Golden Ticket winner on “Kill Tony”) and locals Brian Netzel and Billy Whelan.

Helium Comedy Club, 30 Mississippi Street, Buffalo. 7:30, tickets $13 – 40.99.

Ahren Belisle is a software engineer and mental health advocate turned comedian. Born with cerebral palsy, Belisle is mute who uses his phone to deliver jokes and has amassed over 500,000 followers on social media after appearing on “Kill Tony,” “The Joe Rogan Experience” and “America’s Got Talent.”

Friday – Sunday, Aug 22 – 24 

Helium Comedy Club, 30 Mississippi Street, Buffalo. Tickets $38.99 – 56.99.
Mojo Brookzz will perform all weekend in the cobblestone district. Brookzz was featured on “We Them Ones Comedy Tour” and “Nick Cannon Presents Wild ‘n Out.” His early comedy sketches helped him attract fans and build an online presence, which of course every comedian needs to have these days. 

Friday, Aug 22 

Buffalo Comedy Collective, 155 Chandler Street, Buffalo.  
Comedy Sportz match-up. Two teams “competitively” play short form improv games with suggestions from the audience, who also decides the winner. 7:30 p.m., tickets $18. 

Buffalo Improv House, 255 Great Arrow Ave., Suite 207, Buffalo. 
The new season of the Collider Program starts; five of BIH’s house teams will perform to kick-off the latest run. 7 p.m., $12 presale, $15 general admission or pay what you can.   

The New Friday Mixer, same as Thursday’s mixer, just a later time. 9:30 p.m., free/pay what you can. 

Revolver Records, 810 Elmwood Ave., Buffalo. 7 p.m., free.
Sunday comedy at Revolver Records is moving to Friday, and once a month instead of weekly. Along with comedians, there will be live DJ’s and the bar and store will be open. Hosted by Kevin Thomas Jr. (2016 Buffalo Funniest winner),Tyrone Macline, Jameel Key (2017 Buffalo Funniest winner), and Phil Machemer (owner and proprietor of Revolver Records).

Saturday, Aug 23

Buffalo Comedy Collective, 155 Chandler Street, Buffalo.  
ComedySportz Saturday match-up. Two teams “competitively” play short form improv games with suggestions from the audience, who also decides the winner. 6 p.m., tickets $18. 

Mic Drop: A Musical Improv Show. “Mouth Harpo,” a storytelling musical group from Rochester, will perform, followed by the BCC Shortform Musical Improv troupe, who will, with audience help, play singing games.

A Level Two Student Showcase, followed by team “Click,” which will perform a “Spokane.” 7 p.m., tickets $10. 

“Partners In Crime,” a rotating cast of improv performers, followed by “Deejay Emcee,” an improv duo from St. Catharines, Ont. Their show begins with a chat about a chosen theme that inspires true stories from the audience ,which Deejay Emcee will spin into a unique show. 8 p.m., tickets $12 presale, $15 general admission. 

Monday, Aug 25

Tudor Lounge, 335 Franklin Street, Buffalo, 8 p.m. 
Comedy Open Mic Comedy. This Monday will be the Roast Rumble. Comics will be drawn at random to roast each other with the loser eliminated until one comic is left. Hosted by wrestling enthusiast Andrew Joslyn. Sign-ups at 7. Free.

Tuesday, Aug 26

Nietzsche’s, 248 Allen Street, Buffalo, 9 p.m. 
Rust Belt Comedy Showcase, Buffalo’s longest running comedy open mic hosted by Jake Samson (2022 Buffalo Funniest winner) and Jake Piskor (2025 Buffalo Funniest top three finalist). Free. 

Matinee, 698 Main St., Buffalo, 8 p.m.
Train Stop Comedy, a new comedy open mic on Main Street with host Mamudu Kargbo. For all levels of comics and audiences. Free. 

Wednesday, Aug 27 

Milkie’s, 522 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo. 
Comedy Open Mic. Sign-ups at 7 or online, show starts at 9ish p.m. Hosted by Jesse Winterhalter. Free.
