Event at Iron Works on May 4 will spotlight best of city’s comedy scene

The Buffalo Hive is proud to announce the Buffalo Comedy Showcase, featuring a lineup of some of the best of Buffalo’s standup comedians and improv groups on May 4 at Buffalo Iron Works (49 Illinois St.).

Featured will be improv from the Babushka duo of Todd Benzin and Don Gervasi and team improv from the competitive improvisers of the Buffalo Comedy Collective, who present ComedySportz Buffalo.

The MC will be comedian Don Johnson, who will be joined on stage by a series of great Buffalo-area standup comedians, including Laura Evans, David Lundy, Jake Piskor, Jason Pomietlasz, Liz Reaves, Katrina Valentine and Clayton Williams.

The event, a fundraiser for our nonprofit community journalism organization, will run from 2-6 p.m. In addition to the comedy, there will other activities and food and drink will be available.
