The Trend is a Buffalo-based band formed in 1966, known for covering ’60s rock ‘n roll and rhythm and blues at High school parties and CYO dances. Fifty-plus years later, the lineup has evolved, but the core of that 1966 spirit is still there.
Dave Alvin and Jimmie Dale Gilmore may have put on a lot of miles over the years but they came back to the Sportsmen’s Tavern vibrant and healthy. Their voices were right on and Alvin’s searing rock ‘n blues guitar was evident throughout the show.
