Infringement: Day 2 gets busy
By Miggie Jean
My evening of genre blending began at Hot Mama’s Canteen, where there were some changes to the lineup but an incredible show was played nonetheless. There was a sense of community throughout, starting from the outside where an audience listened to the beautiful vocals flooding out into the streets. The food smelled delicious and the music was at center of it all.
Highlights included performances from Different Planets and Makeup Tactics. (look for this post to be updated with a little video later today!)
Traveling through the west side of Buffalo, my next stop was Milkie’s. Infringement artwork greeted me at the entrance and the music completed the ambience. There were beat machines, rapping and indie rock music flowing out the speakers all evening long. The burlesque show was sensual and the perfect closer.

My sources at Nietzsche’s said the vocals of Esther Fitz were phenomenal. You can get another chance to hear her at Ol’ Wondermoth today. As usual, the venue did not disappoint with the lineup. It alternated between intimate performances in front of the bar to rocking out on the backstage.
At Hardware Bar, it was fun and creative. The dancing and music was energizing. DJ Wax Mice conducted the flow to keep the energy consistent. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow will bring.
If you’re not a night owl like I am? Then you will be especially happy with the schedule for today (7/27).
